Diversified Mega Agriculture, Afforestation, Farming & Livestock Projects of the Army Bear Fruits with the highly dedication and remarkable working process of the All Ranks in Corps of Agriculture and Livestock.
Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock is making a great contribution to finding solutions to overcome the current economic crisis in the country. In such a background, with the aim of solving the administrative matters of the Agriculture Battalions and its undercommand Army Farms spread across the island Commanding Officers' Conference was held at the 6th Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture Akkarayankulam, Kilinochchi on 12 August 2022 and it was presided by Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Army and Colonel Commandant of the Regiment Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP USP .Director Agriculture & Livestock Brigadier AK Rajapaksa RSP, Commanding Officers and Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre were among the participants.
The Colonel Commandant was accorded with a drive pass and welcomed by the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel ASB Hapuwinna USP psc SLAC at 6 Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock.
After the troop address conference began with a noteworthy briefing delivered on the carrier progression of Officers, the current mechanism, and evaluating system of Officers’ Carrier Development plan by Colonel Commandant.During the discussion, Colonel Commandant spoke on the key areas of new mechanism that aims at inspiring more officers to take part in careeer courses to be professional in their field.
Further, participation of other ranks in all career courses counducted by School of Agriculture should be made mandatory for the carrier progression and the groundwork agriculture field for the same was also discussed. It was highlighted that the utilization of the unit funds in the welfare development activities should be carried out through transparent and beneficial manner.
